Description

An easy, healthy blueberry compote recipe made without syrup or refined sugar. Perfect for pancakes, yogurt, oatmeal, desserts, and more.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)

  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)


Instructions

  • Combine blueberries, lemon juice, and honey in saucepan

  • Simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally

  • Add zest and cinnamon near the end

  • Let cool and serve or store

Notes

Store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Freeze in small containers for up to 3 months.

Can be used on pancakes, toast, cheesecake, oatmeal, or meats.

Add a dash of vanilla or mint for extra flavor.
