- 3 tablespoons water
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of blueberries with water, sugar, and lemon juice.
- Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the remaining blueberries and cook for another 8 minutes until slightly thickened but still chunky.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm or chilled.
Notes
You can substitute sugar with honey, stevia, or coconut sugar.
Add a splash of vanilla extract or lemon zest for flavor variation.
