Air Fryer Crispy Tofu Nuggets

These Air Fryer Crispy Tofu Nuggets are crunchy on the outside, tender inside, and packed with plant-based protein. A quick, healthy vegan snack or appetizer that rivals any fast-food version!

Ingredients
  

  • - 14 oz extra-firm tofu
  • - 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • - 1 tbsp olive oil
  • - 1/2 cup breadcrumbs panko or gluten-free
  • - 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • - 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • - 1/4 tsp salt
  • - 1/4 tsp pepper

Method
 

  1. Press tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into nugget-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, toss tofu with soy sauce and olive oil.
  3. In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Coat tofu pieces evenly in the dry mix.
  5. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
