Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Garlic Butter

Rich, smooth, and full of flavor — these creamy mashed potatoes are whipped with butter, milk, and roasted garlic. The perfect Thanksgiving or Sunday dinner side that everyone will love.

Ingredients
  

  • - 2 lbs potatoes Yukon Gold or Russet, peeled and cubed
  • - 4 tbsp butter divided
  • - 1/2 cup warm milk or cream
  • - 2 garlic cloves minced or roasted
  • - 1/2 tsp salt
  • - 1/4 tsp pepper
  • - Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water for 15–20 minutes until fork-tender. Drain well.
  2. In a small pan, melt 2 tbsp butter with garlic until fragrant (1 minute).
  3. Mash potatoes, then add warm milk, garlic butter, remaining butter, salt, and pepper.
  4. Beat or mash until smooth and creamy.
  5. Garnish with extra melted butter and parsley before serving.
